Academic Resources

Iowa State University offers more than 100 majors in six undergraduate colleges.

Iowa State also offers advanced degrees through the Graduate College and the College of Veterinary Medicine.  Each of the undergraduate colleges has an academic services area that provides support and resources to help students to succeed and graduate.  Click on the links to these areas in the navigation menu to discover more information about these resources.  Each student also has a designated academic advisor who can provide assistance navigating to the appropriate academic resources.

In addition, Iowa State University also offers a number of academic resources. Students seeking help with study skills may access academic coaching, Supplemental Instruction, and tutoring services at the Academic Success Center; or seek assistance at the Writing and Media Center.  Students who participate in a Learning Community or in the University Honors program may find the faculty and staff in these programs area another excellent support resource.  The Student Disability Resources office is also available to assist students with documented disablities. 

Additional academic resources that may be helpful are the ISU academic calendar, and the University on-line catalog.  FInally, if students encounter difficulties during their education, the Student Assistance Staff in the Dean of Students Office can advise students seeking information on the University's academic grievance processes.
